Freight train derailed, North-South railway paralyzed for hours
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of February 18, at km 393+600 (North-South railway line) through My Ly - Quan Hanh station, a freight train derailed, causing many passenger trains to be delayed due to the incident.

At that time, the SBN1 cargo train on the North-South route when running to My Ly - Quan Hanh palace in Dien Chau district, Nghe An province, derailed.
The incident damaged more than 700 meters of track. More than 70 railway workers and equipment, machinery and supplies were mobilized to fix the problem.

At nearly 24:00, the freight train was pulled from the scene. Workers worked hard to replace and repair the broken and loose sleepers to ensure the smooth operation of the line. By around 0:30 on February 19, the railway through this area began to reopen.

The freight train derailment caused many passenger trains passing through this area to be delayed, including the E10 and T2 trains running from North to South, which had to wait for many hours at Vinh Station, and some passenger trains from North to South were also delayed.
