With the consent of the Vietnamese Government, on May 6, a fleet of Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy ships (including Missile Destroyer 150/Chang Chun and Missile Frigate 532/Jing Zhou) with more than 500 officers and crew members led by Rear Admiral Shen Hao, Deputy Commander of the East Sea Fleet, docked at Ho Chi Minh City International Port, beginning an official friendship visit to our country from May 6 to May 9.
This visit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Squadron aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries' armies in general and between the two countries' navies in particular.
Through that, the visit contributes to promoting the "Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership" between the two countries to become increasingly deeper and more effective.
During the visit, the command group of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Fleet paid courtesy visits to the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Command of Military Region 7 and Naval Region 2, and visited Naval Brigade 171.
Representatives from the Vietnamese side will visit the ship and attend a reception hosted by the Chinese side.
