Train carrying more than 100 people derailed in Hanoi
A train car on the way from Lao Cai to Hanoi overturned on the morning of August 6, right in the Yen Vien Station (Hanoi), fortunately there were no casualties.

Head of Safety Department (Vietnam Railway Corporation) Pham Nguyen Chien said he is at the scene to handle the incident.
Accordingly, at about 4 o'clock, the SP 2 train from Lao Cai to Hanoi, when entering Yen Vien station, a train car derailed.
"The passenger train was tilted but no passengers were affected in this incident. Authorities are present to handle the situation," said Mr. Chien.
Mr. Chien said that after the incident, the tilted train car was cut out, then the train was reconnected to take passengers to Hanoi station at 6 o'clock.
"The parties have gathered to quickly clear the scene so as not to affect other trains. Currently, journeys on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route are still running normally," said Mr. Chien.
Regarding the cause, the police are currently investigating, there is no initial information yet.
The train that had the accident had a capacity of about 500 passengers, however, since the journey from Lao Cai was on Saturday night, there were only about 120 passengers on board. The train had 16 carriages, the carriage that had the accident was located at position 14./.
