Train crashes into motorbike, killing 3 people
A serious railway accident between a train and a motorbike that killed 3 people (2 died on the spot, 1 died on the way to the emergency room) occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on November 11, at km 98+300 of the North-South railway, through Lien Minh commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province.

Witnesses to the accident said that because they did not pay attention when crossing the level crossing from National Highway 10 into the residential area, the motorbike with license plate 18C1-001.62 was hit by a train traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi and thrown more than 20 meters away.
The strong crash killed 3 people on the motorbike.
The victims included Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu (63 years old) from Giao Thuy district, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong (28 years old) from Truc Ninh district and a boy about 10 years old. The accident caused the train to be delayed for more than 1 hour.
The North-South railway line parallel to National Highway 10 through the districts of Ý Yên and Vũ Bản in Nam Định province has many civilian crossings; many of these were built spontaneously by local people as passageways for travel and business, thus posing a high risk of traffic accidents.
