Train crashes into car, sending it flying into a field.

(Baonghean.vn) - Failing to observe traffic while crossing a level crossing, a truck was hit by a train and thrown nearly 30 meters, completely destroyed and scattered into a field; the driver escaped unharmed.

At approximately 10:50 AM on June 27th, a railway accident occurred at an unguarded level crossing with a warning sign at kilometer 244+920 in Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town (Nghe An province).

According to reports, at the time of the incident, while the SE7 Hanoi-Saigon train was traveling at high speed, a truck with license plate 37C-13793 (driver's identity unknown) traveling from Quynh Vinh towards National Highway 1A suddenly crossed the railway tracks while the train was in motion. The truck collided head-on with the train, pushing the truck nearly 30 meters along the tracks. The truck then landed in a field, overturned, and sustained heavy damage. Fortunately, the truck driver managed to escape with only minor scratches. The train's locomotive suffered significant damage to its driveshaft.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police in Hoang Mai town promptly arrived and coordinated with the railway industry to mitigate the consequences and investigate the cause of the incident. The train had to be temporarily taken to Hoang Mai station for locomotive repairs, and it took nearly 40 minutes before it could resume its journey.

The aforementioned traffic accident disrupted many trains, forcing them to make temporary stops at Hoang Mai and Truong Lam stations. The cause is under investigation.
