According to witnesses, at around 3:08 p.m. on February 6, passenger train SE8 was traveling from North to South. The train was running to Hung Dong commune (Vinh city, Nghe An) when it hit a cow standing on the railway track that was being grazed by locals. The collision caused the cow to be pushed forward by the train more than 50m and died on the spot. Many people near the area witnessed the accident and were terrified. Fortunately, the accident did not affect the train.

It is known that the area where the incident occurred has many local people grazing cows every day, causing railway safety concerns.
