"The crew of the newest multipurpose nuclear submarine "Severodvinsk" of the Northern Fleet, in a submerged position, successfully launched the "Kalibr" cruise missile from the Barents Sea to the designated target at the "Chizha" training ground in the Arkhangelsk region. The missile reached the target with high accuracy," Serga said.
According to him, representatives of the Command and commanders of submarine forces controlled the launch of cruise missiles from the deck of the large anti-submarine warship "Vice Admiral Kulakov".
It is known that for a few days the crew will continue to carry out tasks at sea, and then on the threshold of the Victory Day anniversary the submarine will return to its permanent station.
