Japanese submarine arrives in Vietnam for the first time
On the morning of September 17, the training submarine Kuroshio of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and its crew docked at Cam Ranh International Port for the first time for a visit to Khanh Hoa province.
Colonel Ueta Yasuteru - Commander of Submarine Training Unit No. 1 - Head of the delegation led the sailors to visit Khanh Hoa province from September 17-21.

Welcoming the delegation at Cam Ranh International Port were representatives of leaders and commanders of units of the Vietnam People's Navy and units of Khanh Hoa province.
During the visit, the Japanese submarine training group will pay courtesy visits to the leaders of Khanh Hoa province and the Naval Region 4 Command. Afterwards, the crew will organize cultural and sports exchange activities, professional exchanges at Naval Region 4, and visit Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
The visit marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations and implements the agreement of the two countries' senior leaders and defense ministries.

Kuroshio training submarine, a modern training submarine of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, is 82m long, 8.9m high, and 10.3m wide.
