SAR 411 ship rescues Nghe An fishing boat with engine failure at sea
(Baonghean.vn) - A fishing vessel of Nghe An fishermen broke down while fishing at sea, and one crew member was injured and needed urgent rescue. Currently, the vessel is being approached by SAR 411 of the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region I, organizing a tow to the mainland.
On the afternoon of September 15, rescue ship SAR 411 towed fishing boat NA 98866 TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Ky, permanent resident of Phu Lien hamlet, Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, which had a broken engine to Cua Lo Port safely. Here, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port, Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with relevant agencies to provide first aid to the injured crew member and transferred him for further treatment.
Previously, on the night of September 13,fishing boatengine failure at sea, had to drift at coordinates 19034'N - 107005'E (about 68 nautical miles East Northeast of Hon Me Island, Thanh Hoa Province, about 21 nautical miles West of the Gulf of Tonkin demarcation line). There were 15 crew members on board, including 1 injured in a work accident.
