SE Train North - South Railway has high quality SE5/SE6 express train pair

Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) said that from January 26, Hanoi Railway Transport Company (VTĐS) will officially launch a pair of new, high-quality passenger trains, labeled SE5/SE6, to serve passengers on the Hanoi - Saigon route. This continues to be a new step forward to continuously improve service quality, bringing the best products to train passengers, especially during the Lunar New Year.

The carriages on the SE5/SE6 trains have modern interiors and equipment, reasonable design, spaciousness, creating a comfortable feeling for passengers and especially minimizing noise; blankets, sheets, pillows, and mattresses are all newly equipped. The toilets are renovated to ensure standards, without affecting the environment. In addition, there is a food carriage on the train serving snacks and refreshments.

Ms. Phung Thi Ly Ha, Deputy General Director of the company, said that despite the upgrade, the ticket price for train SE5/SE6 has not changed compared to the previous train SE5/6. For the 4-berth soft sleeper compartment, the ticket price from Hanoi to Saigon is 1,320,000 VND/person. The cheapest seat ticket price from Hanoi to Saigon is 548,000 VND/person.

On the opening day, the railway will offer a discount on ticket prices for passengers with a reduction of 30% - 50% compared to the ticket prices of trains currently running on the Hanoi - Saigon route. Specifically, the ticket price after the discount goes all the way from Hanoi to Saigon from only 274,000 VND/ticket.

Train SE5/SE6 runs daily from Hanoi to Saigon and vice versa. Train SE5 departs from Hanoi Station at 9:00 a.m. the day before and arrives at Saigon Station at 8:03 p.m. the following day; Train SE6 similarly departs from Saigon Station at 9:00 a.m. and arrives at Hanoi Station at 8:03 p.m. the following evening.

Train SE5/SE6 will stop to pick up and drop off passengers at the following stations: Hanoi, Phu Ly, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Bim Son, Thanh Hoa, Cho Sy, Vinh, Yen Trung, Huong Pho, Dong Le, Dong Hoi, Dong Ha, Hue, Lang Co, Da Nang, Tam Ky, Nui Thanh, Quang Ngai, Bong Son, Dieu Tri, Tuy Hoa, Ninh Hoa, Nha Trang, Thap Cham, Binh Thuan, Long Khanh, Bien Hoa, Saigon./.
