Train SE8 runs over and kills 2 people.

(Baonghean.vn) - At a level crossing in Nghi Lien commune, Vinh city (Nghe An province), the SE8 train traveling from South to North struck and killed a woman and a child.

At approximately 9:40 AM on February 20th (the second day of Tet), the SE8 train, traveling from South to North, struck a woman carrying a young child, about 2 years old, at an unprotected level crossing in Nghi Lien commune, Vinh City. Both died instantly under the train.

Following the accident, the SE8 train made an emergency stop and cooperated with authorities in handling the aftermath of the accident.

Initial information indicates that the two victims were a mother and daughter residing in Nghe An province. Authorities are continuing to investigate the victims' identities and the cause of the accident.

At just after 10:00 AM that same day, train SE8 resumed its journey.
