(Baonghean.vn)- After storm No. 2, fishermen in localities across the province are hurriedly preparing necessities and fishing gear toservefor a long sea trip, hoping to catch a lot of shrimp and fish to make up for the loss of the unfinished sea trip due to the storm.
Right after storm No. 2 passed, the weather was more favorable, so on July 18, hundreds of large-capacity fishing boats of fishermen in Tien Thuy commune (Quynh Luu) hurriedly and urgently prepared necessary items, waiting for the tide to rise before departing.

Mr. Bui Van Mao in Phong Thai village, Tien Thuy commune said that his family's boat has a capacity of 900 CV, each trip of 100 nautical miles or more, it stays at sea for about 10 days. Therefore, he had to buy 3,000 ice cubes, 4,000 liters of oil and dozens of barrels of filtered water, food... totaling over 100 million VND.
"The previous fishing trip had only produced a small yield when we received news of a storm, so the ship had to quickly return to shore to ensure the safety of the crew and the vehicle; the damage was considerable. Therefore, on this trip, we hope for calm weather and calm seas, to help fishermen fish more easily, so that the ship's hold can be filled with seafood" - Mr. Mao shared.

Tien Thuy Commune has 326 boats, of which 160 are offshore fishing vessels. Up to this point, 75% of the commune's boats have gone offshore to the familiar fishing grounds of the Gulf of Tonkin.
Mr. Nguyen Van Uoc - Chairman of Tien Thuy Commune People's Committee said: "After the storm, when the weather stabilized, fishermen gathered on boats to overcome the consequences, bailed out water, started engines, and repaired fishing gear. At the same time, they took oil, ice, water, and food to continue fishing at sea. On average, each boat going offshore had to spend up to 80 million VND in expenses. Currently, the weather is sunny and there is no wind, but the locality still recommends that fishermen must constantly update weather information and exploit fishing grounds not too far away to prevent bad weather from returning."

In Quynh Long commune, 3 storm shelter boats No. 2 in Cua Soat, Ha Tinh province and 1 boat in Cua Ranh, Quang Binh province have also started fishing after the storm. The remaining 109 offshore fishing boats anchored at Lach Quen port are currently busy repairing fishing gear, purchasing fuel and necessities to go out to sea. It is expected that in the next few days, if the weather is completely stable, 100% of the vessels will leave port.
Quynh Nghia commune currently has 123 boats, with a capacity of 430 CV or more, of which over 80 boats left the port on the afternoon of July 17 and 18.

Therefore, fishermen always have a very high determination to stick to the sea, so after the storm, the atmosphere when preparing to go to sea is very urgent, bustling with tasks such as bringing ice to preserve fish on board, refueling for long trips at sea...
Leaving behind the recent storm, the boats continued to set sail, catching shrimp and fish. The strong, sturdy arms of each child of the sea, who had experienced the waves and winds, setting sail from the dock, demonstrated their determination for a tuna fishing season with high yield and value.
