Taxi crashes into motorbike, one person dies.

(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 7 PM on October 12th, a traffic accident occurred on National Highway 1A, specifically on the section running through Nguyen Trai Street (Vinh City), involving a taxi and a motorbike, resulting in one fatality.

According to many people present at the scene, at that time, a taxi belonging to Van Xuan company with license plate 37A-178.41 (the driver's identity is unknown) was traveling against the flow of traffic on National Highway 1A, passing through Nguyen Trai Street (Vinh City).

When the taxi reached house number 168 on Nguyen Trai Street, the driver attempted to make a U-turn but unexpectedly collided with a motorbike driven by Nguyen Tuan Hoa (born in 1990, residing in Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City) traveling from the center of Vinh City towards Quan Bau intersection.

The powerful collision caused Mr. Hoa to fall onto the road, resulting in his immediate death. At the scene, the taxi was found to be driving in the wrong lane against the flow of traffic and sustained damage to its rear after colliding with the motorbike.

Upon receiving the report, the police of Ha Huy Tap ward, Quan Bau ward, and the traffic police of Vinh City Police Department arrived to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.

Reportedly, Mr. Hoa was an armored vehicle driver for a military unit stationed in Nghi Kim commune (Vinh City) and was on his way from home to his unit when the accident occurred.

By approximately 8:30 PM on October 12th, the Vinh City police had completed the scene investigation and handed over the victim's body to the family for burial.
