Taxi stuck on the tracks, hit by train

(Baonghean.vn) - The railway accident occurred at 7:00 a.m. on November 19, on the Thong Nhat railway at km 266 +150 in Quynh Giang commune, Quynh Luu district.

At that time, a Mai Linh taxi carrying passengers crossed the railway crossing and got stuck on the tracks. At that moment, the North-South Reunification train arrived.

The taxi was pulled aside to allow the train to continue its journey.

Receiving a signal from the railway workers, the train slowed down, the driver and two passengers in the taxi jumped out in time before the taxi was dragged 50 meters by the train and crushed.

Immediately after the accident, the train driver made an emergency stop, backed up, and together with the locals used a crowbar to pry the car down to the edge of the railway so the train could continue its journey.
