Spain 2-1 Haiti: Warming up for the Confederations Cup
In preparation for the Confederations Cup, the Spanish national team played a friendly match against Haiti in Miami and won comfortably 2-1. The match also served a charity purpose, raising money for victims of the earthquakes that devastated Haiti in 2010.

Cazorla and Fabregas scored the two goals for the reigning EURO and World Cup champions, while Wilde Guerrier scored the consolation goal for Haiti.
Against an opponent ranked 62 places below them in the FIFA rankings, Spain, despite playing in a friendly manner and creating numerous scoring opportunities, either had their shots inaccurately taken by Soldado, Javi Martinez, and Juan Mata, or Jesus Navas's shots were denied by the Haitian goalkeeper.
Furthermore, luck also turned its back on coach Vicente del Bosque's players as they hit the post twice. However, this was merely a warm-up match for Spain, and they focused more on the coordination between the starting and substitute players, as well as the overall team performance, rather than on winning or losing. Before the Confederations Cup, Spain also played their final friendly match against Giovani Trapattoni's Republic of Ireland.
