Now, coming to Quynh Thang, a difficult land in the West of Quynh Luu a few years ago, has really changed. The commune's office is majestic and imposing among hundreds of hectares of incense roots, pineapple trees, dairy farms of households and groups of households, and connected to a flat inter-commune asphalt road. Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Le Van Nga told us: "After the Commune Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term, with 4 projects and programs being implemented, they will be the basic premises for Quynh Thang to promote its potential and advantages to get rich from land resources."

Mr. Le Van Son's incense production facility in Hamlet 1, nearly 4 years ago, Mr. Son boldly invested more than 300 million VND to buy a closed system of machinery for the production of agarwood incense, stick incense, compressed incense such as powder mixing machines, toothpick shooting machines, incense shooting machines... and the incense Mr. Son produces is called Quynh Thang incense. Mr. Son said: the incense he produces is not enough to consume on the market because the incense produced here has good raw materials, so the incense is very fragrant, ensuring quality and design.

Farmers in the area of ​​raw materials for the aromatic root tree have improved the use of root separating machines, bringing efficiency and high productivity in labor.

The whole Quynh Thang commune has 264 hectares of incense roots, each hectare brings in an average income of nearly 150 million VND, so the income from growing incense roots each year also brings the people of this semi-mountainous area up to over 30 billion VND. Quynh Thang incense roots have become the main source of supply for many incense production facilities in and outside the province. According to the commune's orientation, implementing the criteria for building new rural areas, the upcoming Quynh Thang incense processing and consumption service cooperative will be established, both closing the process and increasing the value of the product.

In the western region of Quynh Luu, pineapple is also becoming one of the main crops, bringing tens of billions of dong in annual income to people.

In Tan Thang commune, the Party Committee has launched 3 key programs to create breakthroughs, including 1 "program to develop forest garden, hill garden, and farm economy" in the economic field. Secretary of Tan Thang commune Party Committee Nguyen Quoc Khanh said: "Although the province and district have also planned to develop industry and handicrafts along with the orientation of service development when the Cement Factory comes into operation, Tan Thang has proactively planned based on the strengths and potentials of the locality."

Each year, the 450 hectares of pineapple also bring Tan Thang an income of over 30 billion VND, equal to 30% of the income of the whole commune. In order for pineapple trees to continue to develop sustainably on Tan Thang land, the Commune Party Committee has also had a policy to spread the crop from 3 crops/year to 6 crops/year at the time of planting and start piloting the application of some other technical solutions such as seeds, drip irrigation, uniform treatment at the beginning of flowering...

The Western region of Quynh Luu consists of 7 communes, a land full of potential and prospects. In reality, this region is being "awakened" with raw materials of sugarcane, pineapple, aromatic roots and dairy cows belonging to Dong Tien Cooperative (Quynh Thang)... Therefore, it is necessary to have a plan for the whole region based on favorable conditions to have a strategic development orientation.
