Tennis player Evans tested positive for doping

British tennis player Dan Evans has admitted testing positive for a stimulant during a test at the Barcelona Open in late April.

Dan Evans, 27, is the number 3 player for the British tennis team when participating in the Davis Cup. With a positive doping test, Evans could face a 4-year ban from the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

“I made a mistake and I have to take responsibility for my actions. I have let down many people in my family, my coach, my team, my sponsors and my fans. I can only apologise from the bottom of my heart. This is a painful experience that I will remember for the rest of my life,” Evans said, according to the BBC.
