With this lawsuit, Taylor only asked David Mueller for $1 in compensation. The singer just wanted to fight for what was right and through the lawsuit, called on women to speak up if they were sexually harassed. Taylor said: "I want to thank Judge William J. Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration, and thank attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and for victims of sexual harassment. I feel fortunate to be able to shoulder the costs of defending myself in a trial like this. My hope is that through this lawsuit, more people's voices will be heard. Therefore, in the future, I will donate more to many organizations to help victims of sexual abuse."
