Robber caught red-handed after snatching necklace
After robbing a necklace from a pedestrian, Phong (22 years old, living in Tra Vinh) drove away on a motorbike but was quickly arrested by criminal police.
At around 12 noon on December 2, Tu Cong Phong (22 years old, residing in Binh Phu commune, Cang Long district, Tra Vinh province) was driving a motorbike with license plate 84L1 - 364.97 to Rach Dua 2 bridge (Dai Phuoc commune, Cang Long district) when he committed a necklace robbery and was arrested by the police 20 minutes after committing the crime.

According to the police, at that time, Ms. Vo Thi Kieu Huong (46 years old, local resident) was walking on the bridge wearing a gold necklace. Phong immediately drove his car close, reached out and grabbed the necklace and escaped.
After being robbed, Ms. Huong shouted for help, and people called the Cang Long District Police. About 15 minutes later, criminal investigators discovered Phong driving on Highway 60, in Phu Phong 1 Hamlet (Binh Phu Commune), so they chased him.
Phong accelerated and fled. When he reached Nguyet Lang B hamlet, he was arrested along with the evidence. Cang Long District Police (Tra Vinh Province) issued an order to temporarily detain the suspect for investigation.
