On December 21, Lieutenant Colonel To Van Hau - Head of Ky Son District Police (Nghe An), said that he was temporarily detaining Vi Van Hung (21 years old, residing in Hong Tien village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district) to clarify the act of robbery. The victim of the robbery was Ms. Nga (19 years old, residing in Khe Tang village, Chieu Luu commune).

According to the police, on December 7, Ms. Nga was walking alone on the street near her house, holding a phone worth more than 7 million VND. Seeing this, Hung approached from behind, snatched the phone and ran away.

Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police - Economic and Drug Police Team of Ky Son District Police sent a working group to investigate. Ten days later, Hung was arrested at home.

When he was arrested, Hung insisted that the police had arrested the wrong person, claiming that he had been wrongly accused. "He banged his head on the table and chair, claiming that he was innocent and asked the police to release him. However, faced with undeniable evidence, the subject was forced to bow his head and confess his crime," said Lieutenant Le Hai Chuong, an investigator of the Criminal - Economic and Drug Crime Team of the Ky Son District Police.

Hung confessed that when he saw Ms. Nga walking alone on the street with her phone that day, he immediately approached her and snatched the phone and left. Two days later, Hung took the stolen phone to a phone store to exchange it for another phone.

According to the police, Vi Van Hung is unemployed, has two siblings, and his parents divorced several years ago.

Suspecting that this young man had committed many other crimes, Ky Son District Police are continuing to expand the investigation./.
