Russian ICBM missiles are protected by extremely powerful robots
According to TASS, the Russian strategic missile force has just introduced the Listva combat robot - a bodyguard for intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) complexes.
The launch of the new generation of robots was held by the Russian Missile Forces within the framework of the Yars ICBM complex protection exercise on June 9 in Novosibirsk.
"The Novosibirsk missile troops use the latest Listva combat robots to escort Yars missile systems along combat patrol routes," the Defense Ministry said.

According to the exercise scenario, the strike groups buried 10 different types of remotely controlled explosives along the path of the Russian missile unit.
However, the Listva robot promptly detected and detonated all these explosives at a distance of over 50m before the ICBM missile complexes arrived.
It is known that before Listva was announced, the Russian Ministry of Defense also released a video about the test of a new robotic system designed to protect ICBM missiles at the Kozelsk missile unit.
Video footage shows the use and operation of this robotic protection system, under the control of the commanding officer of the Strategic Missile Forces. The robot is equipped with modern grenade launchers and guns, allowing it to deliver accurate fire at a distance of up to 400 meters.
During the test, the latest robotic system proved to be reliable as saboteurs were unable to pass unannounced to the protected targets.
According to the official report of the Russian military, due to being equipped with a series of optoelectronic devices, the tasks of this new robot will include protecting ballistic missile regiments.
The mobile missile systems will be protected by a mobile robot complex. Equipped with a heavy machine gun system, the robot is designed to conduct reconnaissance, detect and destroy static and mobile targets, fire support units, patrol and protect important facilities.
