Palestinian rocket hits Israeli kindergarten
Israeli engineers discovered a Palestinian rocket that fell on a kindergarten in the southern Israeli city of Sderot, police spokeswoman Miki Rosenfeld said.
It was believed to be one of three rockets fired from the Gaza Strip on Friday evening - the day of Palestinian protests against the US decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
"Surveyors have found a rocket that was launched this weekend from Gaza into the city of Sderot and landed in the kindergarten area. There is damage," Rosenfeld wrote on Twitter.
Another rocket fell on the street of Sderot, damaging a parked car, the third rocket was shot down by the "Iron Dome" missile defense system.
In response, the Israeli air force attacked six targets including training camps, ammunition depots and weapons repair workshops in the Gaza Strip.
