Rockets fall near US Embassy and Afghan Presidential Palace
On the evening of August 21, a rocket attack occurred in the center of the Afghan capital Kabul.
There are currently no reports of casualties and no organization has admitted carrying out this attack.
According to a witness, the attack occurred at around 10 p.m. (local time). The missile flew over the diplomatic area in the capital, before falling at Wazir Akbar Khan in a district in the capital.

This is a traffic circle near the Afghan Presidential Palace and the US Embassy. This area is not open to the public. Afghan officials have not yet commented on the incident.
The attack took place in the context of Afghanistan being put on high security alert on the occasion of National Day on August 19.
Previously, on July 31, two Afghan employees working at the US Embassy in Kabul were killed and one police officer was injured when gunmen from the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) drove a car bomb into an embassy building.
Currently, police units are on high alert and have been deployed throughout the city, especially in diplomatic areas./.
