Tomahawk missiles will be extremely powerful after upgrade
According to ASDNews, Raytheon has successfully tested the ESM (Electronic Support Measure) cruise tracking system to upgrade the Tomahawk Block IV cruise missile.
The ESM tracking system consists of a processor and antenna to detect and track fixed and moving targets with radar emission sources.

The manufacturer has been conducting tests for the past seven months, confirming the capabilities of the new system to be able to capture targets even in a non-radiation environment.
The Tomahawk cruise missile has been a nightmare for air defense systems and the armies of many countries have recently suffered attacks from the US military. This new upgrade will make the Tomahawk even more dangerous.
“This new capability allows the cruise missile to destroy moving targets on the ground. We believe that ongoing research will enable increased combat effectiveness of the cruise missile at an acceptable cost,” said Roy Donelson, Tomahawk program director at Raytheon Missile Systems.
Raytheon is currently working with the US Navy to upgrade the Tomahawk cruise missile.
The missile now has a two-channel satellite communications system that allows it to change direction in flight. This new upgrade allows US Navy strike groups to destroy moving targets at long ranges.
