The police in Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh province) have just initiated criminal proceedings and arrested Duong Xuan Loi (18 years old, residing in Ky Phuong ward) to investigate the crime of theft.

According to the investigating agency, on October 30th, taking advantage of the absence of Tran Thi Huyen (residing in Ky Phuong ward), Loi climbed over the wall and broke into her rented room, stealing a handbag containing nearly 290 million VND.

When arrested on October 31st, Loi confessed that he committed the crime due to lack of money. He said he used the stolen money to buy a phone, clothes, and for daily expenses.
