Warm Tet for nearly 550 disadvantaged students at Vinh University
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of February 6, Vinh University organized the program "Warm Tet for students" to help and support students in difficult circumstances to welcome a warmer New Year 2018.
This is the 5th year Vinh University has organized the program "Warm Tet for students".

During the program, the Organizing Committee presented many meaningful gifts to support students in difficult circumstances; support students living far away to return home to celebrate Tet Mau Tuat 2018; contribute to encouraging their spirit, helping them overcome difficult circumstances to achieve high results in studying, training, and preparing firmly for their career path.
Speaking at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Dinh Phuong - Vice President of Vinh University said that the program is one of many major activities of the school's Board of Directors to promote the nation's fine cultural traditions, demonstrate the spirit of mutual love and kindness, and noble gestures in the Vinh University community.
In addition to donating a day's salary from school officials, civil servants and public employees, the program also mobilized nearly 150 million VND from units, businesses, organizations and individuals.
On this occasion, Vinh University gave gifts to 545 students in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND.

Previously, Vinh University has successfully implemented many meaningful programs. Specifically, in 2018, the school visited and gave Tet gifts to poor people in 23 communes in 21 districts of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces with a total of 460 gifts worth 230 million VND and many valuable items; Donated 50 million VND to the program "Tet for the poor" organized by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; Donated 50 million VND to schools in remote areas according to the appeal letter of the Vietnam Education Trade Union...
