Early Tet for Mong and Kho Mu people
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 24, Que Phong district organized an early Tet for the Mong and Kho Mu communities in Tri Le and Nam Nhoong communes. Along with that was the activity of giving gifts to village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people before Tet.

The activity was jointly organized by the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee of Que Phong district and military units stationed in the area.
Another integrated activity of this early Tet holiday is the conference of village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people in villages with Mong and Kho Mu communities in these two border communes. At the conference, the Que Phong district government presented 51 gifts to village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people.
In addition, military units including Tri Le Border Post and Economic - Defense Group 4 also presented 30 gifts to prestigious people in the communities.

As in previous years, in addition to gift giving, at the festival, there are physical and sports activities imbued with the cultural identity of the highland people such as stick pushing, cockfighting, tug of war... Along with that are "homegrown" performances from art troupes from the villages. A year-end meal is also organized for the people to participate in on Tet.

Early Tet has become a tradition in the border communes of Tri Le and Nam Nhoong. The event has been held continuously every year since 2001.
