Tet in the border
(Baonghean.vn) - The weather in the last days of the year at the Na Loi border is pouring with rain, but the difficult weather conditions do not affect the bustling Spring atmosphere throughout the Na Loi border villages. Sharing the same atmosphere, soldiers of the Na Loi Border Guard Station, Ky Son District, Nghe An Province are busy preparing to welcome Spring early in the highland border area.

Celebrating Tet in the army for two consecutive years, Border Guard soldier Na Loi, a Mong Lau Ba Long, born in 1991, from Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, cannot help but feel sad, missing his family and friends even more. But because of the sacred duty of protecting the Fatherland, these days he and his comrades are also increasing patrols on each landmark and border line.
Private Lau Ba Long confided: “This is the second Tet I am away from home, from my parents and relatives. Although I really want to go home to celebrate Tet with my family, with the responsibility of a soldier, no matter where we are, even if we have not been home to celebrate Tet with our families for many years, we will happily complete our mission to protect the border.”
The joy of celebrating Tet of the soldiers also received encouragement from the local people. In recent days, the Youth Union of Na Loi commune has been practicing cultural and artistic programs to coordinate with the Youth Union of Na Loi Border Post to organize cultural and artistic activities to celebrate Tet and welcome Spring.
Stopping the performance that was being practiced with the members, Ms. Luong Thi Hoai - Secretary of the Na Loi Commune Youth Union shared: To join the Border Guards in celebrating Tet, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union selected the core performers in the commune, organized rehearsals for singing and dancing performances praising the homeland, the country, Spring... especially the traditional beauty of the ethnic minorities, coordinated with the Youth Union of the station to organize a performance to cheer and encourage the soldiers to stay at the unit on duty for Tet.

On the occasion of this year's Tet, to ensure peace in the border area, so that people can enjoy a warm and safe traditional Tet, the Command of Na Loi Border Guard Station has increased patrolling activities, controlling border markers, sending officers to stay in the area, visiting and giving gifts to revolutionary veterans, village elders, prestigious people among ethnic minorities, policy families, and poor families in the area under the unit's management.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Phuc, Deputy Head of Na Loi Border Guard Station, said: Na Loi Border Guard Station manages 2 landmarks, 8km of border line with the area of 2 communes, with a large number of ethnic minorities living there. Implementing the order to be ready to fight to protect before, during and after the Dinh Dau Lunar New Year, the station has established a mobile platoon of 10 officers and soldiers ready to ensure security in the area and support when necessary. Coordinated with the mobile forces of 2 communes Na Loi and Dooc May to organize combat readiness training to handle situations to avoid being passive and surprised...
Senior Lieutenant Duong Kim Theu, the leader of the Na Loi Border Post's Administrative Control Team, has just completed a patrol with the Na Loi Commune militia. He said: "During the patrol, we often coordinate with the militia of the communes and villages to patrol the border markers and control the area to ensure that security and order in the area are always maintained, so that people can enjoy the New Year with peace of mind."

In addition to ensuring security and order, the station also organizes activities to visit, give gifts, and help people repair their houses to prepare for Tet. This year, Vi Van Nhui's family in Na Khuong village, Na Loi commune was allowed by his parents to live separately. During the days before Tet, his family, the villagers and the border guards of Na Loi Border Post contributed to the efforts of the border guards.is rushing to build a new house right next to Na Loi Border Post so that he and his wife have a place to live in time to celebrate Dinh Dau New Year. Although the weather is not favorable, with a lot of rain, the construction of his family's house is still on schedule.
This activity contributes to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people during the Tet holiday. Mr. Vi Van Nhui emotionally shared: “My family built a new house, although the weather was difficult, the family received enthusiastic help from the soldiers and villagers. Not only did the family build the house, but all the big and small things when the villagers needed, the soldiers of Na Loi Border Guard Station were there to help.”
Another Spring has come, in every village everyone is excited in the atmosphere of welcoming Spring, but in the remote border areas soldiers are ready to sacrifice their own happiness to firmly hold their guns, protect the peace of the Fatherland, so that the people can enjoy Tet and welcome Spring.
