As one of the highest paid players in the world, Carlos Tevez's attitude towards playing does not seem to be any more positive. Recently, fans were extremely angry at the sight of the Argentine striker standing rooted to the ground, even though the match was very dramatic.

Many spectators were extremely angry when watching the match between Shanghai Shenhua and Tianjin Teda, in the 12th round of the Chinese Super League. While the players on the field were playing enthusiastically, only Carlos Tevez seemed motionless.

This action was later criticized by the online community.

“Tevez earns £634,000 a week in China but the huge salary does not motivate the Argentine player to make an effort to contribute to Shanghai Shenhua,” The Sun commented on a video recording Tevez's movements.

"With my limited maths, it looks like Tevez is making about £40 while standing still like this. Easy work, high pay."
"Carlos Tevez earns $80/minute. That's $1.33/second. That means just walking for 16 seconds makes him $21.28"

Fans seem to no longer recognize the figure of the striker who used to play for big clubs in the Premier League, with his speed and ability to tear apart the opponent's defense in just a note.

Although Obafemi Martin opened the scoring for Shanghai Shenhua in the 11th minute, Tianjin Teda fought back to win 2-1 thanks to a brace from former West Brom striker Brown Ideye. With this defeat, Shanghai Shenhua were surpassed by their opponents in the rankings and are currently ranked 12th out of 16 teams participating in the tournament.
