Releasing fish fry into the lake is an annual activity, contributing to the restoration and regeneration of aquatic resources; thereby raising awareness of conservation and development of aquatic resources for people in the Ban Ve hydropower reservoir area in particular and people in the mountainous district of Tuong Duong in general.

Ban Ve Hydropower Plant was built in 2004 and officially started generating electricity in 2010. The project has a capacity of 320MW, providing a large amount of electricity to the national power source every year. Ban Ve Hydropower Reservoir has more than 5,000 hectares of water surface, which is a favorable condition for people in the area to promote aquaculture, bringing in high income.
