A representative of the Overseas Labor Management Department said that before leaving the country, workers must pay for passport fees, health check-ups, visa fees, necessary training, and contributions to the Overseas Employment Support Fund according to regulations. Service fees for businesses providing services to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts must not exceed 1 month's basic salary for 1 year of contract.

After entering Thailand, workers are responsible for health care costs, health insurance, work permits, work permit application fees and social insurance contributions equal to 5% of monthly salary (only applicable to workers in the construction industry).

Two-way fare for workers from Vietnam to Thailand at the beginning of the contract and from Thailand to Vietnam at the end of the contract will be borne by the employer.
