Thailand: Shooting into a crowd of protesters leaves 35 injured.

Police in eastern Thailand said that gunmen attacked an anti-government protest on the evening of February 22, injuring at least 35 people.

Police Lieutenant Thanabhum Newanit said that the gunmen, traveling in a small truck, attacked a protest organized by the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) in Trat province, about 300 km east of Bangkok.

Violence related to protests is on the rise in Thailand.

According to Lieutenant Thanabhum, the attackers opened fire on the crowd and two explosive devices detonated.

Recently, violence related to protests has been on the rise in Thailand. In the past three months, 15 people have been killed and hundreds more injured.
