Heartbreaking tragedy: Mother murdered 2 children then committed suicide

Due to a conflict with her husband, the young wife mixed pesticide and invited her two young children to die with her at their home.

On the morning of April 20, in a quick exchange with a reporter from the Family and Society Newspaper, Mr. Tran Van Hien, Chairman of Kim Anh Commune, Kim Thanh District, Hai Duong Province, said that the incident of a biological mother murdering her two young children and then committing suicide occurred in Le Do Village, Kim Anh Commune on the evening of April 19.

According to initial information, due to a conflict with her husband, the young wife bought pesticide and brought it home to mix with water to drink. At this time, there were 2 small children (4 years old and 6 years old) at home. In a moment of despair, the mother persuaded her 2 small children to drink poison to commit suicide. However, the 4-year-old child refused to drink, so the mother stabbed him to death on the spot.

The mother and her 6-year-old child had convulsions after taking the poison. The incident was discovered by local people and the victims were rushed to the emergency room.

Mr. Hien added that the case is currently being investigated by the police, and the authorities do not yet have detailed information.

It is known that the 4-year-old child has died, and the mother and older child were transferred to Hanoi for emergency treatment after the incident.
