The suspect in this case is Nguyen Dang Khoa (31 years old, residing in Dong Thap province).

Police took the statement of Anh - the girl who escaped death in the massacre.

The victims who died included: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa (44 years old, Mr. Trung's wife), Dinh Thi Ngoc Ngan (24 years old, Mr. Trung's daughter) died in the house and Phan Ngoc Anh (5 years old, Ngan's biological child) died in the garden.

Police arrived at the scene of the crime.

After killing the victims, Khoa strangled Anh until she passed out. When she woke up, she saw Khoa rummaging through her belongings. Anh begged him to spare her life and said she would “commit suicide”. Mr. Trung was not home the night of the crime.

People said that Ms. Ngan had a husband and a child named Ngoc Anh. After the divorce, the child went to live with her mother. After that, Ms. Ngan met and married Khoa.

A local resident said: "Khoa works as a veterinarian, injecting medicine into pigs. Recently, he has been working as a tobacco marketer. Khoa is the son-in-law of Mr. Trung."

The case shocked the village.

Another resident said that this morning, Anh crawled out of the gate and called for help. At that time, people ran over to open the gate and untie the girl.

The leader of Tam Hiep Commune People's Committee said that after the tragic murder, the government called for support for the victims. In addition, the local government also provided initial support of 3 million VND to the 3 deceased victims.

The initial cause according to the victim's family members' testimony was due to family conflicts.
