(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 3, the Women's Union and the Farmers' Association of Quynh Luu district visited and encouraged the families of sailors missing at sea in Tien Thuy commune (Quynh Luu).

The delegation visited 9 families of missing crew members including: Ho Ba Lam (Captain), Bui Ngoc Son, Nguyen Van Tung, Truong Dac Quy, Ho Ba Hoang, Nguyen Tuan Phong, Bui Ngoc Chung, Nguyen Van Manh, Nguyen Ngoc Tan and the family of crew member Nguyen Van Hoa who died at sea.

At the families, the delegation sent their condolences and sympathies to the families of missing or injured sailors, and encouraged the families' relatives to overcome the pain and move forward in life.

On this occasion, the District Women's Union and Farmers' Association presented support money to families of missing and deceased crew members, 1 million VND per family.

Previously, Nghe An Newspaper reported that on June 24, 19 people, all from Quynh Luu, boarded fishing boat NA 95899 TS to go fishing. At around 1:00 p.m. on June 28, the boat was anchored in an area about 34 nautical miles south of Bach Long Vy Island when it was hit by the Pacific 01 ship of the International Transport and Trade Joint Stock Company. As a result, the NA 95899 TS capsized, and all 19 people fell into the sea. The Pacific 01 ship approached and promptly rescued 9 fishermen on board, finding 1 dead. The 9 rescued fishermen returned to shore to reunite with their relatives on the night of July 2. There are still 9 people who have not been found.
