(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 20th, Comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, along with representatives from several departments and agencies, visited and extended New Year greetings to policy beneficiary families, meritorious individuals, the poor, and some agencies and departments located in the province.
At Do Luong District General Hospital, the delegation listened to a report from hospital staff on the hospital's activities over the past year, especially during the period leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year). Acknowledging the efforts of the hospital staff, Comrade Ho Phuc Hop also requested that the hospital pay attention to ensuring adequate medical supplies, assigning shifts appropriately, and being prepared for any potential situations. Also at the hospital, the delegation visited the Emergency Department, Surgery Department, and Internal Medicine Department to present 15 gifts, each worth 400,000 VND, to seriously ill patients with life-threatening illnesses requiring long-term treatment.

Visiting Giang Son Dong and Giang Son Tay communes, two mountainous communes in Do Luong district, the delegation presented gifts to the Provincial Social Protection Center, which currently cares for 287 individuals including elderly people without family support, disabled people, mentally ill people, and orphans. This year, despite many difficulties, thanks to the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and various departments and benefactors, the Center has prepared everything to ensure everyone can celebrate Tet fully, with each person receiving a gift worth 150,000 VND.
The delegation also visited the Nghe An Social Work Center, which is caring for 68 abandoned and homeless children, many of whom are disabled. For each unit visited, the delegation donated gifts and money totaling 5,000,000 VND.

During a visit to poor households in Luu Son commune, My Son district, the delegation visited the family of Mrs. Nguyen The Thi, a veteran revolutionary cadre, now 99 years old; visited the mother of martyr Nguyen Thi Thinh; the father of martyr Mai Van Dung; and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Chuyen, 111 years old, whose husband and son were martyrs.

The total number of gifts distributed on this occasion included 5 gifts for families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious individuals; 20 gifts for poor households, 15 gifts for seriously ill patients, and 3 gifts for various organizations.
