(Baonghean.vn) - July, the month commemorating the traditional anniversary of the Youth Volunteer Force, the anniversary of wounded soldiers and martyrs, evokes a sense of profound emotion as we return to Truong Bon to feel the overflowing stream of gratitude...
That source of gratitude is the heartfelt devotion of countless Vietnamese people, directed towards the fiery land of Truong Bon (My Son, Do Luong), the hurried construction of projects and items rushing to "reach the finish line," respectfully offered to the spirits of the heroes and martyrs... Truong Bon in July, the memories of the days of bombing and shelling have faded far into the past, leaving only the majestic, towering green rows of trees casting their shadows, leaning against Thung Nua, Khe Khe, Len 12 Thung, and the Don Vong pass... as if singing an immortal epic about the sacrifice of the heroes and heroines.
Thousands of visitors flock to Truông Bồn every day, and with just as many, the heroic and tragic epic, etched into the golden history of the nation, resounds. Who can forget the glorious victories and sacrifices of the 13 soldiers of the "Steel Squad," the "Suicide Squad" of Youth Volunteer Company 317 on October 31, 1968? Who can forget the powerful resurgence of Truông Bồn today, marked by the impressive historical site complex covering an area of 217,327 square meters? In July, Truông Bồn is always fragrant with flowers offered to the heroes who "fought to the death for the Fatherland!"
