Defeating Panama, Vietnam futsal team has a chance to enter the 1/8 round of the World Cup

On the evening of September 16 (Hanoi time), the Vietnamese futsal team defeated Panama 3-2 in the second match of Group D of the 2021 World Cup in a tight match. Minh Tri, Doan Phat and Van Hieu scored for the Vietnamese futsal team. On the other side of the battle line, Castrellon scored a double.

With 2 goals, the Vietnamese futsal team slowed down and was put under pressure. Castrellon and his teammates gradually created many opportunities. They continuously shot towards goalkeeper Van Y's goal. One of them became a goal. After narrowing the score, the Panama futsal team started to play power-play.

Panama showed their strong passing ability. They made the Vietnamese futsal team commit 6 fouls in the first half. From a 10m free kick, Castrellon completed his double, equalizing the score 2-2 for Panama before the end of the first half. This was an unfortunate result for the Vietnamese futsal team when groups 2 and 3 created many good opportunities, but failed to capitalize on them.

In the first minutes of the second half, the Panama futsal team put on a lot of pressure. Goalkeeper Van Y had to constantly show his talent to save the goal. Up front, the Vietnamese players played the ball without much grace and often made mistakes in the final touches.

However, the surprise came in the 26th minute. Van Hieu had a brilliant moment. He took the ball from the opponent's feet, dribbled from the home field and passed the Panama goalkeeper. Then, ala born in 1998 finished from a narrow angle, raising the score to 3-2 for the Vietnam futsal team.

After conceding the goal, the Panama futsal team continued to put pressure by pushing up the formation to press. In the end, coach Minh Giang and his team won 3-2 against Panama and got the first 3 points at the 2021 World Cup. This is a result that makes the chance of the Vietnamese futsal team to continue much brighter.
