Thanh Chuong: Exchange waste for breeding stock

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 26, the Women's Union of Thanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong) organized a donation of 15 flocks of breeding chickens and 8 breeding pigs to poor members with a total cost of over 40 million VND, drawn from the funds donated by children of the hometown and the union's fund for turning waste into breeding animals.

To help members gain knowledge of science and technology in animal husbandry, the Women's Union invited doctors from the District Animal Husbandry Station to train them on techniques for caring for and preventing pests and diseases for chicken flocks.

It is known that Thanh Lam is the first unit in Thanh Chuong district to implement the movement of turning waste into breeding animals. From this model, the Women's Union of Thanh Chuong district has expanded to 40/40 communes and towns in the district./.
