Thanh Chuong: Steam tank explosion, 2 people in critical condition

At around 4:00 a.m. on January 9, 2018, at Mr. Dieu's house, hamlet 6, Thanh Mai commune, Thanh Chuong district, an industrial boiler explosion occurred, seriously injuring two people in a family.

According to Mr. Tran Cong Bang - Chairman of Thanh Mai Commune People's Committee, Thanh Chuong District, the family of Mr. Tran Van Dieu and his wife, Mrs. Tran Thi Anh, have been making tofu for more than 6 years. Due to carelessness while making tofu, the steamer exploded, seriously injuring both husband and wife. They are currently being treated at Nghe An Eye Hospital.

His grandparents' house had its roof completely blown off and was severely damaged.

After the incident, local leaders were present at the scene, mobilizing organizations and villagers to help the family, clean up the house, and re-roof the damaged house.
