Vinh City Youth Union hands over youth projects on Christmas occasion

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 20, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Vinh City held the inauguration ceremony, handing over the youth project in Nghi Phu commune and giving gifts to disadvantaged children in the city.

The volleyball court in Hamlet 5, Nghi Phu Commune is a city-level youth project mobilized from contributions from union members and young people, practically organizing activities to celebrate the success of the 11th National Youth Union Congress (term 2017 - 2020) and welcome Christmas.

After 10 days of construction and installation, the project was completed with quality and progress, with an area of ​​nearly 270m2.²and invested in equipment such as lighting poles, stakes and nets with a total cost of nearly 50 million VND.

Through the construction and donation of a volleyball court, the City Youth Union hopes to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, expand the solidarity front to gather young people and improve the quality of cultural life in the religious areas.

Thereby, developing a healthy physical education and sports movement at the grassroots level, at the same time, orienting the lifestyle and cultural lifestyle for union members, association members and young people; diversifying forms of attracting and gathering young people, contributing to consolidating and improving the quality of grassroots Union and Association activities in residential areas.

Also at the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union - City Young Pioneer Council presented 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND including warm clothes and cash to 20 disadvantaged children from Hung Chinh, Nghi Phu, Cua Nam, Dong Vinh, Nghi Kim, Nghi Duc and Vinh Tan wards and communes; with the hope of helping them to be warmer and more well-off this winter.
