Establishment of the Folk Arts Association in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Yen Thanh District Folk Arts Association is the first grassroots organization of Nghe An Province Folk Arts Association. It currently has 7 members who are collectors and researchers and have had many works published and awarded.
On the morning of May 6, Nghe An Province Folk Arts Association announced the decision to establish the Yen Thanh District Folk Arts Association.

Yen Thanh is an ancient land, the homeland of many talented people. This place has a great source of folk culture. According to the late Professor Ninh Viet Giao: Yen Thanh is the homeland of the "Father of Nghe An folk art" Phan Thuc Thuc - the person who was assigned by King Tu Duc to collect ancient books in the northern provinces in the year of Tan Hoi 1851.
At present, Yen Thanh district has 7 members of the Nghe An Province Folk Arts Association, including 2 members of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association. Over the years, Yen Thanh members have been active and made great contributions to the collection and research of folk arts in the province in general; many works have contributed to enriching people's lives and have been published, awarded the Ho Xuan Huong Award of Nghe An Province and the Vietnam Folk Arts Association.

On May 6, 2019, the Nghe An Provincial Folk Arts Association decided to establish the Yen Thanh District Folk Arts Association. Accordingly, the Yen Thanh District Folk Arts Association is a professional mass organization, a member of the Yen Thanh Literature and Arts bloc. It is also the first grassroots organization of the Provincial Folk Arts Association.
At the beginning of its establishment, the Yen Thanh District Folk Arts Association had 7 members, including Mr. Phan Ba Ham, Nguyen Tam Can, Ngo Duc Tien, Nguyen Trong Ha, Phan The Phiet, Le Xuan Nhuong and Nguyen Huu Trang. Mr. Le Xuan Nhuong was assigned as the temporary branch president.
