Establish the Nghe An Forest Protection and Development Fund.

(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, March 1st, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Nghe An Provincial Forest Protection and Development Fund. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and units.

According to Decision 69/2011 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the Forest Protection and Development Fund is a state-owned financial organization operating as a public service unit with revenue, directly under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and subject to financial inspection and supervision by the Department of Finance. The Fund's responsibilities include: mobilizing, receiving, and managing mandatory contributions; aid, grants, voluntary contributions, and entrusted funds from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals; financial resources from the state budget for forest protection and development; organizing the appraisal and selection of programs and projects for submission to competent authorities for approval and decision on support and investment; and providing financial support for forestry programs and projects within its authority. The Fund is managed and operated by the Management Council, the Supervisory Board, and the Executive apparatus.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development the task of directing the fund to quickly stabilize and become operational, effectively fulfilling its assigned functions and tasks, making a significant contribution to the cause of forest protection and development, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development, and promptly responding to climate change.
