In a new interview, Hong Kong martial arts star Jackie Chan said if he is not careful, he could be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Jackie Chan is famous for performing his own stunts without the use of a stunt double.

At 63, Jackie Chan still performs his own stunts. In the trailer for his new film, Bleeding Steel, Jackie Chan shocked many by performing extremely dangerous stunts without the help of a stunt double.

Among the most dangerous scenes were scenes in which Jackie Chan fought on the roof of the Sydney Opera House and climbed down a 20-storey building without a rope. When asked about these extremely dangerous scenes, the 63-year-old star said he knew the risks that could happen if he did not take care, especially at his old age.

"I could almost freeze, burn or suffocate," Jackie Chan said of the risks he could face. "If I wasn't careful in the fight scenes, I could end up in a wheelchair for the rest of my life."

However, taking risks is like in Jackie Chan's blood. He still wants to perform dangerous scenes himself. And what Jackie Chan does is still perform all those scenes himself but always remind himself to be as careful as possible when performing those scenes.
