A 9X youth in Nghe An specializes in loan sharking, 'bragging' about having police protection to scare debtors

The Investigation Police Agency of Do Luong District Police has just issued a decision to prosecute Nguyen Dang Hoang (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 12, Da Son Commune, Do Luong District) to investigate the crime of "Lending high interest rates in civil transactions".

Previously, on June 11, 2019, Nguyen Dang Hoang was urgently arrested by Do Luong District Police for gambling in the form of holding lottery numbers. After being prosecuted on July 4, 2019, Hoang was released on bail to live in the locality pending prosecution and trial.
Upon returning home, Hoang did not comply with the law and continued to lend money at high interest rates in Do Luong district. Hoang often used violence and threats to collect interest from debtors.
More seriously, Hoang told the debtors that he had the police force to protect him, so if the debtors wrote a complaint, the police would notify Hoang and Hoang would deal with the debtors.
Determining that Hoang's behavior showed recklessness, disregard for the law, and affected the reputation of the police force, Do Luong District Police grasped information and consolidated evidence.
After having sufficient documents and evidence, on October 20, 2019, Do Luong District Police summoned Hoang to work. After a process of struggle combined with authentic documents and evidence, Hoang had to bow his head and admit his crime.
Initial evidence shows that Hoang lent 236 million VND and illegally profited 50 million VND.
