Guatemalan teen shot dead while hunting Pokémon

One Pokémon hunter in Guatemala was shot dead and another was taken to hospital with injuries.

They were attacked by unknown gunmen while playing Pokémon, local authorities said.

According to police, the attack took place in the town of Chiquimula, police found 17 bullet casings at the scene of the attack. The young man who was shot dead while catching Pokémon was only 18 years old, the injured person was 17 years old.

Portal Prensa Libre said they were shot from a passing jeep, the motive for the attack is not yet known.
