(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 8th, more than 300 youth union members from Tam Quang commune and agencies and units located in Tuong Duong district participated in building a dam to bring water to the terraced rice fields for the people of Son Ha village.
This activity is part of the 2015 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign organized by the Tuong Duong District Youth Union, aiming to promote the pioneering and volunteer role of young people in participating in socio-economic development, contributing to poverty reduction, and jointly building new rural areas.
Through the campaign's activities, the aim is to improve the quality of the Youth Union's operations, increase cohesion and unity among young people, and contribute to creating an environment for young people to develop their character, ethics, lifestyle, and social skills.
On this occasion, the Tuong Duong District Youth Union organized a gift-giving event for disadvantaged students who have excelled in their studies, constructed a dam to bring water to the terraced rice fields in Son Ha village, and participated in providing free medical examinations, treatment, and medicine to more than 150 children in Tung Huong border village of Tam Quang commune.
