Nghe An youth express their trust and expectations before the dialogue with provincial leaders

Thanh Quynh - Dinh Tuyen - March 15, 2023 18:59
(Baonghean.vn) - Before the dialogue conference with Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung, the program's Organizing Committee received many opinions, thoughts and aspirations from union members and youths throughout the province.

Nghe An Newspaper would like to quote some typical opinions related to key issues that many young people have been interested in recently.

It can be said that winning the competition is an important premise for us - young people in the province's innovative startup ecosystem - to receive support and companionship in the process of putting the company into operation. However, in reality, the number of innovative startups in Nghe An is still too small compared to the potential and strengths of the locality.

From the perspective of an insider, I have 3 wishes and recommendations to send to the Party Committee, government and provincial departments and branches to be able to change and bring positive impacts to this ecosystem.

The first is the network of connections between businesses in the startup ecosystem. Not only limited to the province, we need to have practical activities to strengthen connections between provinces and neighboring areas to help businesses quickly expand the market. At the same time, increase the exchange of knowledge and experience needed to quickly spread the value of products and services.

The second is capital. When talking about difficulties in the process of starting a business in general, and innovative startups in particular, the biggest obstacle is still capital. No matter how good or feasible an idea is, if there is a lack of capital, it is just an idea… on paper. Therefore, if possible, we hope to have more support programs, connections with investment funds or projects, business development programs to ensure the company's long-term development.

Finally, it is necessary to have a quality advisory board. Because most startups are young people, although they have many advantages such as: quickness in approaching and mastering digital transformation, good knowledge base, eagerness to learn and flexible adaptability... However, what they lack is practical experience.

Therefore, they really need an advisory board with highly specialized people who have experience in the market to be able to provide useful perspectives and advice for businesses. We are confident that we can receive lessons to avoid mistakes and quickly achieve better results in developing and building a sustainable business.

Having been involved in the Youth Union for many years, I personally realize that political, ideological, moral and lifestyle education for the younger generation is a very important issue, especially when society is undergoing increasingly complex changes like the current period. In reality, the younger generation today seems to be surrounded by too much bad and toxic information. If they are not equipped with a good ideological foundation and the skills to protect themselves from unofficial information, they can easily be drawn into social evils or have negative and distorted thoughts.

In some hot events that have attracted public attention, many members and young people have expressed their desire for the Youth Union to provide more documents, information and viewpoints so that they can better understand these issues. However, this desire is not always met, because the leaders of the Youth Union have difficulty in updating more detailed and official information and data.

From that reality, in the coming time, we hope to receive practical support from the Party Committee and the government in accessing and grasping information about events taking place in the area or political and social events that young people are interested in. From there, bring correct and positive perspectives and views.

Along with that, there needs to be more activities to foster revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for union members, contributing to creating opportunities for union members to practice and develop comprehensively.

Previously, I spent 3 years studying abroad in Information Technology - Grenoble Alpes University - France. That time helped me realize that Foreign Languages and Information Technology play a very important role for students to confidently integrate internationally and affirm their own value in the current period.

Having participated in many activities organized by the Youth Union at school and provincial levels, I have noticed that the issue of improving foreign language and IT skills for union members and young people is always a hot topic in forums. In fact, many students in Nghe An are very good at their majors, but because of their weak foreign language skills and limited IT skills, they have missed many opportunities to study abroad or find a job. Now, when more and more businesses choose Nghe An as a destination for investment and market expansion, these factors are even more important.

Therefore, in the coming time, I hope that our province will have more policies, programs, and activities to support and help students improve their IT and Foreign Language skills to create a foundation for finding jobs in the future.

As a child of the Thai ethnic group in the mountainous district of Que Phong, I understand that union members and young people in remote areas and ethnic minority areas face many disadvantages and obstacles in the process of asserting themselves. These obstacles come from economic and social conditions, bad customs and inadequate concepts about promoting the role of young people in the new era.

Therefore, I and many young people in my hometown need to be facilitated in a multi-dimensional way through cultural and employment connection activities, scholarship packages, etc. so that each member and young person can approach and keep up with the progress of society. From there, help them overcome limitations and prejudices to gradually affirm their position in the current period.
