I am Nguyen Ngoc Kim Phuc.

(Student of class 10C1 - Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Third prize):

"I learned about the contest "History of Nghe An province, 990 years of formation and development" through the social network Facebook. As a student majoring in block C, I wanted to test my historical knowledge that I had accumulated during my studies in class as well as through books and newspapers. Unexpectedly, when participating, I seemed to be attracted by the system of attractive and profound questions about the history of my hometown Nghe An.

When answering the questions, I was enriched with knowledge about the history of Nghe An from its origins to the renovation process today. There were hardships and difficulties in the early days of land reclamation and recruiting people to establish villages. There was bravery and resilience in the process of repelling foreign invaders to keep the border peaceful. There was the courage and iron will of the people of Nghe An in the process of building and defending the country, worthy of being the "fence" of the country through the ages.

In particular, the Contest helped me understand more clearly the merits of Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang for the land of Nghe An. Thanks to his work of clearing land, recruiting people to establish villages, guiding people to do business and production, and commanding the wars against foreign invaders, there was an indomitable and resilient Nghe An. Born in the North, Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang was attached to Nghe An throughout his life, and when he passed away, he remained here. His name will forever be attached to Nghe An, a spiritual support for the homeland to move forward throughout its journey.

Participating in the contest, I realized that my love and pride for my homeland became deeper, and I loved more what was associated with my life. That helped me to be more determined to study well to always be worthy of the traditions of my hometown Nghe An, the land where I was born and raised."

Mr. Thai Dinh Trung

(Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, 01 Third Prize, 02 Encouragement Prizes)

When I heard that the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee launched and organized the contest, after work I took the opportunity to visit the province's electronic information portal to learn more and participate. Like many other young people, I initially participated in the contest with the purpose of testing my knowledge of the history of the place where I was born and raised.

Thanks to that, I found the contest really useful and interesting. The system of questions is rich and in-depth, helping to supplement and systematize knowledge about the history of my homeland. Because, to answer the questions, I had to look up more information in books, documents and the Internet, sometimes consulting with teachers and friends.

At the same time, the contest helped me have the joy of winning a Third Prize and two Encouragement Prizes. It is also the pride of myself and the unit, helping me to be more confident in relationships and in daily life. And more importantly, the knowledge system is consolidated, creating motivation to continue learning about events and characters, land and people of Nghe An in the historical process. From there, fostering love for the homeland and spreading pride in the traditions of Nghe An.

As a police officer, along with protecting the peace of my homeland and striving in my work, I realize that I have the responsibility to promote the beauty of Nghe An to friends near and far. And if I have the opportunity, I will be a tour guide to introduce the historical and cultural traditions of Nghe An over the past 990 years."

Ms. Cao Thi Hang

(Secretary of Hung Nguyen District Youth Union, Third prize):

At first, I thought the questions would be very difficult, because mastering the knowledge of the 990-year history of a land with countless events and people is not an easy task. But when approaching the system of questions, I found them very familiar, things I had learned, read and heard about. Each question evoked a feeling of pride and passionate love for the village, the mountains and rivers.

As a son of Hung Nguyen - one of the cradles of the Nghe - Tinh Soviet movement, every time I encounter a question about my hometown, my heart is filled with joy. Joy and pride are the motivation for me to spend time and effort to research documents, meet many people to understand more about my hometown's traditions. I also do not forget to share, encourage and cheer on union members and youth in the area to actively participate and respond.

Winning the third prize is a great pride, but in my opinion, the greatest thing to gain from participating in the contest is to make a great step forward in knowledge and pride, and the love for the homeland grows day by day. As a district-level Youth Union officer, I will develop a plan to educate the younger generation about traditions, helping each person gain more knowledge about history, culture, and pride in their homeland. With that, young people will have more will, courage, and dedication, contributing to building a more beautiful and rich homeland"./.
