Quy Hop youth enthusiastically compete in gong competition at the beginning of the year
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 21, Quy Hop District Youth Union coordinated with Chau Ly Commune People's Committee to organize the contest "Youth with gong culture of Quy Hop district for the first time in 2018".
The contest attracted the participation of nearly 100 actors from 6 teams of 4 communes: Chau Ly, Chau Thai, Bac Son and Nam Son.

Each team has 11-15 people, participating in 2 competitions including greetings and gong performance, including the following parts: Coong bo, Coong ha, Coong liep nam. The gong performances are all imbued with the cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group.

The contest is an opportunity for Thai people in Chau Ly, Chau Thai, Bac Son and Nam Son communes in particular and Quy Hop district in general to contribute to preserving, inheriting and promoting the value of gong cultural space - an oral masterpiece and intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded first prize to Chau Thai commune team and second prize to Bang village team, Chau Ly commune.
